[Beware all ye who enter here] Roku On, Dude! (update): It is true that it needed a CF WiFi card in my case (a standard Ethernet port is included, but I don't have a jack anywhere near where it was needed). But that was only upsetting insofar as the box says it was included.

The author’s rationale for favoring WiFi (besides his company’s product offerings are heavily weighted for that technology) is that it offers more security than Bluetooth, noting that WiFi is more advanced, and that Bluetooth may eventually supplanted by ultra-wideband, anyway.
